Abstract The Common Admission Process (CAP) followed by several Indian Institutes of Management reflects a shared philosophy of selecting management candidates through a holistic and merit-based approach. Institutes such as IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Sirmaur, and IIM Jammu aim to admit students who demonstrate not only academic ability but also leadership potential, communication skills, ethical awareness, and readiness for managerial roles in a dynamic socio-economic environment.
